Our Leadership

Jane Rolen

chair

Jane Rolen (Mary Jane Basilio-Rolen) is a recently retired Management and Program Analyst for the Social Security Administration (SSA). This distinguished professional began her federal career in 1998 under the Outstanding Scholar Program, eventually holding vital roles such as Operations Supervisor, Labor Relations Specialist, and Executive Assistant to the Regional Commissioner. Before her retirement, she served as a Team Leader for the Civil Rights & Equal Opportunity Office. Today, that expertise translates into her work as a Keynote Speaker, Consultant, and Project Manager, leading both JBR Consulting, LLC and Lazy Bear Cabins, LLC as CEO.

During her tenure as President of the Philippine American Chamber of Commerce of Georgia (2021–2023), the organization saw a significant surge in membership retention and the launch of the "PACCGA on Wheels" program. Her leadership emphasized tangible support for small business owners through impactful monthly webinars and newsletters. This commitment to the community extends into media; as the first Filipino podcaster in the Southeast, she hosts “Usapang Pinoy.” Produced by the Georgia Asian Times, the show has surpassed 100 episodes since its 2021 debut, serving as a vital resource for the Filipino diaspora.

As a key member of the Volunteer Corps for the Office of the Honorary Consul General of the Philippines, this dedicated leader frequently represents Honorary Consul General Raoul “Ray” Donato at official functions. These diplomatic efforts include leading the Philippine team at the Martin Luther King Center’s “Beloved Community International Expo” and the Mayor’s Office “World Migrant’s Day.” Additionally, she serves as a liaison at the Cobb County International Festival and assists with "Attention to Nationals" (ATN) cases throughout Georgia.

Since founding the Filipino American History Month Georgia (FAHMGA) celebrations in 2019, she has grown the initiative from two annual events to ten as of 2025. These celebrations, held in coordination with the Honorary Consulate, honor Filipino heritage throughout the month of October.

Her career is marked by prestigious accolades, most notably the Commissioner’s Citation (the SSA’s highest honor), and four Regional Commissioner’s Citations. Her civic contributions are equally distinguished, including the 2025 Consular Award from the Philippine Honorary Consulate, being named an AJC Every Day Hero, and twice being recognized by the Georgia Asian Times as one of the state's Most Influential Asian Americans.

Born and raised in the Philippines, she graduated with honors from St. Joseph’s College in Quezon City with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. She was married for 27 years to the late William (Bill) T. Rolen, Jr.

Serita Taylor

treasurer

Serita Taylor is a results-driven community leader and advocate with a deep-seated commitment to economic empowerment and social justice. Holding a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor’s in Psychology, Serita bridges the gap between professional strategy and human-centered advocacy, ensuring that the Filipino community in Georgia has both a voice and a roadmap for success.

Serita’s expertise in workforce development is extensive and diverse. She recently served as the Director of Workforce Development for the Philippine American Chamber of Commerce of Georgia (PACCGA). Her dedication to displaced and migrating populations is further evidenced by her impactful work as a Job Developer for refugees in Clarkston, Georgia. In this role, she specialized in navigating the unique barriers to employment faced by those arriving in a new country, helping them translate their skills into sustainable careers.

As a licensed Real Estate Agent in Georgia and former administrator of residential  rehabs, she understands the practical challenges of building a life and a legacy in the United States. Her involvement with the OFW GA Foundation is fueled by her personal friendships with nannies, nurses, teachers, and IT professionals. Having witnessed the anxiety of contract expirations and the tragic isolation of workers without local kin, she has made it her mission to transform the spirit of Bayanihan into a structured, reliable safety net.

Serita is dedicated to providing the emotional and strategic support services necessary for every Overseas Filipino Worker to feel truly empowered. She believes that through the OFW GA Foundation, we can ensure that no kababayan ever has to navigate their journey, or their career, alone.
